SITE OF THE MONTH AWARD JUNE 2010
From achieving our Gold award on 2009-10-09 and our Platinum award on 2010-05-25 this web site has now achieved the O.N.Z.C.D.A™ Site of the Month award on 2010-06-20. Much has been stated about The Extended Craxford Family Genealogy Magazine web site within the Awards Community but sometimes we fail to recognize with words the many hours of research, learning new coding, page design and layout skills that have been spent to achieve the 'easy use' site that is displayed. O.N.Z.C.D.A™ staff take this opportunity to do so.
Viewers are provided with current affairs including many letters, stories and articles reaching across at least four hundred years culminating in an incredible resource of great historical value of interest to others outside of the inner family circle. Irrespective of the copious amounts of information displayed, the web site is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
To visit this web site is akin to going on an adventure where one travels into the past which reflects with such accuracy centuries of life in England but the adventure does not stop there for in a century from now, the content of The Extended Craxford Family Genealogy Magazine web site will still be relevant and of much historical interest. A most relaxing site visit and one that is certainly worthy of bookmarking and a most noteworthy asset to the WWW.

I as evaluator and owner of Timelines Award Program am proud to award your site with Timelines Future Award in the category C Future Content, as on your site you showing future content that will keep its validity for many years. - Timelines' Top Award.
This genealogy page is more. The interested visitor can read through the centuries of England, and all stories with incredible directness reflect the former life. An enormous amount of work has been invested, which is not to go beyound. The webmaster has apparently several lives, because in just one generation all this great work is hardly to manage. The "tree" of the ancestors have grown now wide like several football fields and high into the sky. Alan Craxford found the ideal solution to present thousands of names and dates very clearly: he calls his genealogy simply "magazine" and the various family branches he divides into different colors. Red, blue, olive, purple, bluegreen, brown, orange ... and he does not stop there. Meanwhile Alan came ride in so that he has added a specific sector, this time in "tartan". That color is dedicatet to his classmates who have studied at the Medical Faculty of the University of St. Andrews and Dundee and graduated in 1969 like he did himself. It is an incredible adventure and pleasure to browse all the pages, and it still will be in a hundred years an experience for the Craxford descendants.
Thank you for giving the World Wide Web such a wonderful website.

Genealogy site that traces the Craxford family back to the early 1600's in Gretton, Northamptonshire. Nicely done site that is separated into six fully searchable sections with articles, pictures, and much more. The site protects the privacy of the living members by having that section password protected, while the rest of the site is open to the public for its use in searching for long-lost relatives. The design is easy to navigate, an easy to read and complimentary text, good use of images and white space. A site well done and deserving of our Gold award.

After the evaluation of your website it is a great honor to me to award your site "The Extended Craxford Family Genealogy Magazine" the MOND AWARD of EXCELLENCE
Great Britain has had already for time immemorial many outstanding writers and poets. But even in genealogy sites, an unexpected talent can hide itself. We discovered such a talent with Alan Craxford, the Webmaster of "The Extended Craxford Family Genealogy Magazine". He not only presents a big family tree back to 1620 with thousands of names and year dates. Alan Craxford- I must say Alan D., because he discovered another Alan Craxford the same age as the Webmaster - describes all so interesting and lively that the visitor means to be on a time trip back into the past. For me each visit on this website is a great experience.
Also excited about Alans website is Evaluator George, himself a longtime expert and researcher in genealogy. He writes: "It is always a pleasure to visit the Extended Craxford Family. The wealth of genealogical information is amazing. The site not only presents the Craxford genealogy and related families, but provides links to other genealogical sites for families that, though not directly related, have branches that touch the Craxford tree."
And this tree becomes bigger and bigger. No wonder that Alan D. Craxford needed to split his Genealogy into different coloured parts. This increase the enjoyment of the visitors, because they never get lost on Alan's beautiful site.

I am very happy to announce your magnificent site "The Extended Craxford Family Genealogy Magazine" as a winner of my award the "LTS Grail Award".
I have visited your site again and again, and being a bit of a geneologist myself, I am very impressed with the extensive information on your family you show in the site and especially the presentation of the information. Even though the information given is mainly on your own family, the contents could be seen as an added value to Internet for those amongst us that want to set up a family site. I know that I have a rule, that my award is not given to sites that have no other content but one's own family. However, in your case the tutorial value is so extremely high, that I just have to award your site with my award. And gladly so. My heartfelt congratulations.

Your web site "The Extended Craxford Family Genealogy Magazine" has qualified for the Internet Beacon Merit Award. This is quite an extensive undertaking you have here, obviously a labor of love. I imagine this is quite valuable to members of your family, for whom you have done a great service. Well done.
I consider your site to be of extremely high quality, one of the best that I have seen. The problem is that a password was required in order to reach the private portions of the site. I completely understand why you are doing it, and it makes perfect sense to me...but under the current rules of the Internet Beacon Awards, requiring a password for any portion of the site is an automatic disqualification. Believe me when I say that it broke my heart to have to disqualify it. Under this circumstance, the Merit Award was the highest that I could grant.

Family... such a important part of our lives. To search within the heritage of ones past is to find the future of ones journey. From generation to generation such information would be lost if not preserved in such a site as this one. Family Genealogy is more often only of interest only to members of a certain family tree but the Extended Craxford Family Genealogy Magazine web site has developed into a vast resource of information. Visitors not only can take a look at the past but your site provides a visitor with current affairs.
Since our panel is made up of young people also it is a encouragement to find such a site that brings interest into their lives. Your site shows a "burning desire" to make a difference. Our panel spent hours within your site leaving....wanting more. This is what makes a site different. When the visitor wants to return. The wealth of information displayed, from the letters, pictures, articles, lead our panel to proclaim that The Extended Craxford Family Website is the finest site that we have ever evaluated within any subject or materials submitted to our program.
Your site is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Let it be known and acknowledged that The Extended Craxford Family Website has been rated the highest point value that we have ever given.
