Page 2: The Reunions

INTRODUCTION

With the experience of a second reunion under my belt it is time to develop this new section of the Yearclub magazine. This will become the home of the reunion reports (the St Andrews article has just been published, joining its fellow about the Museum and Archive visit to Dundee) and will also host a series of photographic galleries dedicated to each event. The St Andrews photo gallery is the last to be completed; large scale versions of many of its images have been reproduced as an album (click the link in the left hand navigation bar)

I am indebted to Chris Morris and George Watson Brown for the use of their collections on these pages and I hope that they will serve as a stimulus to others to go hunting in those shoe boxes under the bed or up in the attic for other images that can be added to them. I would also appreciate mementoes, reminiscences or textual commentary which could serve as continuity. All donations will be acknowledged and gratefully received. We have no materials at all from the Mauritius reunion.

THE CONTRIBUTORS

I usually have a camera with me when I come to these occasions. I was able to bring a collection of photographs of past events scanned from slides to the St Andrews weekend. They form the basis of what appears here.

I am Honorary Secretary and Webmaster of the RAF Habbaniya Association, whose web site can be found at RAF Habbaniya Association. (Habbaniya is arabic for the Oleander tree)

I have collections of old photographs and slides going back to university days in the mid 1960s. Many of my photographs have appeared previously on Flickr under the pseudonym Yorgus Nuttpud and are reproduced here with permission and under a Creative Commons licence.
