Enos Jackson and his family lived in the small enclave of Acre Place (labelled in red on the map) which lay to the west of Stroud. The close proximity of Bread Street, the long time home of the Harmer family can be seen. It now forms part of Ruscombe Road. St John the Baptist, the parish church of Randwick lies about a mile to the north west of Acre Place just off the edge of the map. Horns Road, the birthplace of Percival Henry Powell, is to the east of Stroud town centre.
